About Us

Flying Rubber Racing is dedicated to two 1969 BMW 2002 classics raced by Jack Healy as well as documenting some other miscellaneous BMW racing he and his “gearhead friends” have been up to.

Jack has raced “Pete” up and down the West Coast as well as New Zealand and Road America.  Primarily raced in Sovren (www.Sovren.org) events but also SCCA events at Laguna Seca and Infineon as well as the HMSA “Columbia Classic” event in Portland.

A second car – also a 1969 BMW 2002 – was built in 2008 to run at the Targa Newfoundland event (www.TargaNewfoundland.com) in 2009.  This adventure will be posted on this website as the event unfolds.
